• A poor prognosis (i.e. rapid fulminant hepatic failure) has been reported in patients who discontinue chelation therapy. • Relatively favorable outcome has been reported after liver transplant, with reported decrease in neurologic symptoms. Continued chelation therapy was not necessarily required post transplantation.
