Institute of Medicine (IOM) celebrated its 54th annual day on Shrawan 1, 2083, (17th July, 2026) Friday. The formal celebration program was organized in the Seminar Hall of MoHeGo building of IOM by the Dean's Office.

The annual day program was chaired by Dean of IOM Prof. Dr. Mohan Raj Sharma; and attended by various dignitaries of IOM and its affiliated campuses including Prof. Dr. Abhimanyu Jha (Assistant Dean, Exam), Prof. Dr. Santa Kumar Das (Assistant Dean, Academic), Associate Prof. Tulashi Adhikari Mishra (Assistant Dean, Administration), Prof. Dr. Suresh Uprety (Campus Chief, MMC), Associate Prof. Dr. Shiva Mangal Prasad (Campus Chief, AC), Assoc Prof. Dr. Devaka Acharya (Campus Chief, MNC), Prof. Dr. Menuka Bhandari (BNC), Prof. Dr. Subhash Acharya (Executive Director, TUTH), Prof. Dr. Meenu Chaudhari (Director, BPKLCOS), Prof. Dr. Ratna Mani Gajurel (Director, MCVTC), Prof. Dr. Yogendra Man Shakya (Head, Medical Education Dept), Prof. Dr. Paleswan Joshi Lakhey (Head, Research Dept), Associate Prof. Dr. Sudip Parajuli (Head, Incubation and Placement Dept) along with Mr. Nirmal Mishra (Admin Chief, Dean's Office), Mr. Suraj Shrestha (Finance Chief, Dean's Office) and Mrs. Samjhana Bakhrel (General Admin Chief, Dean's Office) and various staff and members of IOM and its affiliate campuses.

The program was honored by the presence of its former deans Prof. Dr. Madan Upadhyay, Prof. Dr. Hari Govind Shrestha, Prof. Dr. Ramesh Kant Adhikari, Prof. Dr. Arun Sayami, Prof. Dr. Shashi Sharma, Prof. Dr. Keshav Prasad Singh, Prof. Dr. Jagadish Prasad Agrawal and Prof. Dr. Dibya Singh Shah.

IOM paid its tribute to its first Dean Prof. Dr. Moin Shah by garlanding of his statue at the IOM garden by Prof. Dr. Sharma and other dignitaries.

The formal program was anchored by Dr. Rosha Bhandari (Anatomy Dept, MMC) and supported by Mr. Manoj Sah, Ms. Shanti KC, Ms. Shanti Shrestha and Mr. Pradip Shrestha of Dean's Office.

The program was inaugurated with the national anthem of Nepal and lighting of Panas jointly by Prof. Dr. Mohan Raj Sharma and Prof. Dr. Madan Upadhyay. Assistant Dean Tulashi Adhikari Mishra greeted the audience with her warm welcome speech. The Dean of IOM Prof. Dr. Mohan Raj Sharma then made a comprehensive presentation on the current status and achievements of IOM.

Former Deans Prof. Dr. Arun Sayami and Prof. Dr. Madan Upadhyay shared their valuable experiences and memories of their tenure while Prof. Dr. Subhash Acharya and Prof. Dr. Suresh Uprety presented their short remarks on the event.
