Six delegates form Kunming Medical University, including the Vice President, visited Tribhuvan University Institute of Medicine, Maharajgunj to follow up on the Memorandum of Understanding as well as to strengthen the collaboration between Kunming Medical University and Institute of Medicine. 
Kunming Medical University delegates were led by the Vice President Prof. HE Yongwen. Accompanying other delegates were Prof. LI Wenliang, Dean of the second affiliated hospital; Assoc. Prof. ZHANG Liya, Director of Clinical medical college management and development; Ms. YANG Jing, Deputy Director of Division of International exchange & Cooperation; Mr. LU Hongkun, Director of Finance Department; and Ms. TAO Ling, Deputy Director of Publicity Division. The visiting team was well received by Prof. Dr. Mohan Raj Sharma, Dean of Institute of Medicine along with Assistant Deans of Institute of Medicine, Executive Directors of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center and BP Koirala Lions Center for Ophthalmic Studies, Campus Chief and Assistant campus chief of Maharajgunj Medical Campus, and representatives from various departments of Institute of Medicine.
During the meeting, both sides focused on impactful implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between Kunming Medical University and Institute of Medicine which was signed in 2019 and renewed in 2024. Both teams emphasized the academic and research collaborations with exchanges of faculties and students between the institutes of Kunming Medical University and Institute of Medicine (TU). They also agreed on exploring further areas of collaborations in future. 

After the discussion, the meeting ended with brief visit of various departments of TU Teaching Hospital, led by the executive director prof dr. Subash Prasad Acharya
